yes, there was a Hydrangea leaf

The 7-11 ink well came from the Harvin line, a brass collection that was acquired during the Eckman years. Don't know the source but it was made until the early or mid 1990s.

As for a list of Hansen's leaves, good question. There were lists of the original copyright documents but I imagine the last owners threw them all away. I might be able to find an old catalog and if I do I'll post what I find here.

I am trying to find out the origin of an inkwell that has the marking 7-11 and V M with a snake type emblem between the letters. What did that sell for when it was manufactured and is it still produced today and at what price. The inkwell is a footed brass one, very ornamental, looks like old English, has a square glass inkwell that fits in the base of the brass item which also has the same marking V M, and the brass lid also has the marking V M. Can you help me with these questions?

I can remember admiring the lovely brass pieces my mother had in our home. When I was older, I asked her where she got them, and she said she had purchased them at Virginia Metalcrafters in Waynesboro, Va. So, whenever I was headed to Skyline Drive, I'd go to Virginia Metalcrafters and look at the lovely products they had. Of course, a lot of them were beyond my reach, I did buy some products I could afford, especially if I happened to luck into a sale!

I went through Waynesboro on the way to Staunton in 2005, and was SO upset to see that Virginia Metalcrafters was closed! How sad, since I considered Virginia Metalcrafters an institution! I treasure the items that I have even more! Thank you for all the years of making beautiful, as well as useful, items for the home.
